What Do We Do?

Holy Family Friends Association is the official name for the PTA group that supports Holy Family Catholic School. We have a committee that is elected each September, made up of parents and teachers and we have monthly meetings in term time at which we encourage all parents to come along. Everyone with a child at the school is automatically a member. We are a warm and open group and we would be delighted to see some new faces and we are always keen to hear new ideas!

The PTA is here to help enhance the learning environment for your children by providing much needed additional funding to the school.

Our PTA is about much more than just fundraising; it is also about building the school community, bringing together parents, staff and friends, who have a shared interest and support for the school. We provide opportunities for parents to get together, meet new friends, and have a good time! All parents and members of the school community can get involved if they want to, even if they only have a small amount of time available.

How can you get involved?

We constantly are looking for helpers at our events. This can involve anything from designing posters, websites, flyers, serving refreshments at a New Parents evening, helping with the garden club and TLC days, Event assistance (either on the day or pre event), or simply through PTA meetings and generation of ideas.

Please contact us on if you would like to get involved

Where does the money go?

Each year the PTA raises thousands of pounds which is used to support our children at school. This year we have purchased such items as a new PA system in the school hall and new play picnic benches for the playground.
Another such initative is our new willow dome. We think the children will love it. Many of them have been making willow crafts. Many thanks to Maura, Karin & Sabine for their help with this project. For an idea of how it will look when the leaves grow visit:
